Substation and Power Transformers
supertran delivers medium to high voltage substation and power transformers with lead times under 12 months, and distribution class units in as little as 16 weeks.
Built to IEEE/ANSI standards, our transformers feature high-quality construction with mitered cruciform cores and cylindrical windings.
Applications include Oil & Gas, Industrial, Solar, Utility, Data Center, and Commercial sectors.
FROM 5kV
TO 850kV
Overview
As data center expansion and AI-driven load growth reshape today’s grid, supertran supplies high-performance substation and power transformers built for the evolving demands of modern energy infrastructure. Ranging from 5 kV to 850 kV, our transformers are engineered to IEEE or IEC standards depending on project requirements and are fully customizable for utility, industrial, renewable, and commercial applications.
With fast lead times, robust mechanical design, and high-grade materials such as mitered cruciform cores and circular copper windings, supertran transformers deliver long-term reliability, thermal efficiency, and expert customer support. We offer expert witness testing and detailed reports prior to shipment, and our team supports your project by overseeing assembly, installation, and testing - or handling it directly - for a smooth, on-site deployment.

K Rating Information To Consider
According to IEEE C57.110
- Computer Data Centers K Factor should be between 3.5 – 4.
- UPS Systems K Factor should be between 3.0 – 3.8.
- Fluorescent Lighting should be between 2.0 – 2.5.
According to IEC 60076-7
- Variable Frequency Drives should be between 4.0 – 5.5.
- Arc Furnaces should be between 5.0 – 6.5.
- Industrial Drives should be between 4.0 – 5.0.
K9 is commonly used for 6 pulse drives.
The values shown above are for quick reference. We are available to help determine the appropriate K Rating based on your loads and system configuration. Additional K rating results in improved efficiency in most cases.
